Ontario’s 2021 Budget

Join the Public Affairs Association of Canada (Ontario Chapter) on Friday, March 26 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am for an expert panel debrief on what the 2021 Ontario Budget means for Public Affairs professionals and their clients. Following the presentation, you will have the opportunity to debrief with your peers from 11:00 am to 11:30 am in zoom breakout sessions.

Ontario’s Finance Minister & President of the Treasury Board Peter Bethlenfalvy, will table the provincial government’s 2021 Budget tomorrow, in what is expected to be another record-spending plan due to unprecedented circumstances brought on by the pandemic.

It has been over one year since the World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 pandemic. With the COVID-19 vaccine rollout being rolled out, Ontario’s economy is forecasted to enter a period of recovery in the year ahead. However, the third wave and ensuing future lockdowns, leave communities, businesses and Ontarians feeling uncertain about the future.

What will a budget one year into the crisis mean for Ontarians? What will paving the path to reopening and recovery look like? What sectors, communities, and demographics will be prioritized? What lies ahead for Ontario’s economy?

On Friday, March 26, join PAAC Ontario’s 2021 Budget event to hear from a diverse panel on how Ontario plans to protect people’s health and jobs, and the budget implications for Public Affairs professionals and their clients.
